If you are looking at this page, then you got the invite. It's gonna be a sick time folks. Hopefully I can get most of your questions answered on this site.
Some of you have been hearing me, almost insistently, talk about doing this project. I've been working for almost a year to get this ball rolling. The date is now set. May 19th though the 22nd. The place? Llano, TX.
The point of this? Well, there's a few. I've met a lot of very jive turkeys over the last 10 years of being in and out of the music scene in Austin. Everyone I've met offers something a little different. Some of them are my dearest friends, some of them are drinking buddies, some of them I don't see enough. My thought with all this, first off, is get some of these people together! Get them out of town, into the country to relax, knock back a few and write some music together.
Maybe some of you will form new projects out of this. Maybe some of you will come away inspired with new songs for the project you're already in. My goal is to create an environment of unbridled creativity away from significant others, away from your job, and most of all away from the usual way of doing things.
Sound good? Good. Next month it is then.
